Synopsis: This past week, governor Snyder recieved a bill on his desk on carrying concealed weapons. The bill would allow highly trained gun owners to carry around their weapons into public places. The bill was 1 of hundreds passed by the Michigan legislature. Governor Snyder will veto the bill because it doesn't allow schools to go against the law. 44% of the cititzens in Michigan are trying to recall governor Snyder, and don't believe he's taking action towards certain situations. This bill was influenced by the horrifying act in Conneticut.

Analysis: I agree with his decision because i feel that fighting guns with more guns will not solve any problems. It's actually feeding the fire and could be more dangerous. If the situation in Newton occured and some staff had guns, I feel that similar actions would've still happened because their lives would've been based on how the staff would've reacted. In the heat of the moment, many people do not realize the obvious and their mind goes blank. Or maybe it could've been a gun fight and more people could've been injured. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable knowing that my teacher had a gun at their desk because they could spazz atany possible moment and i will feel like my life was in danger. A teacher getting mad at their students occur more rapidly than someone coming to terrorize a school.

Synopsis: America spends more money on National Security than any other country. The national security spending has increased from $600 billion to $894 billion. America's only possible threats Russia and China will spend less than $200 billion. Citizens are paying their taxes to the government and where is it going?  The United States Rivals are getting the same equipment but at a way cheaper price. Is all of this money spent on national security really worth it?   

 

Analysis: America is blowing off money that they claim we don't have. Instead of trying to take money from the people in the world struggling to survive, we should increase taxes on citizens that make higher income. Wealthy people only make up 1% of the U.S, so why increase taxes on the majority of the world living descent lives? Lowering Medicare is not at all neccessary if we can get the money for support from somewhere else. America spends most of our  money on security and all of it is not needed. If the U.S will stop trying to point a gun at everyone else and stop worrying about how other countries are ran, we can put money towards more important things such as health care. I don't believe that america realizes some of the things we experience, we've actually brought onto our selves.  We need to learn a better strategy on how to balance our spending and not put money towards one specific thing. All of the money we spend towards nuclear weapons that we could possibley use in the future, could actually be used to help save lives TODAY!!!!

Synopsis:   Global warming is the increase in the earth's surface temperature. Humans have a huge impact on this increase in temperature, due to all of burning fossil fuels and cutting down trees. It's as if we are putting another boundary around our atmospere, making it harder for the excess heat from the sun to exit back into space. The increase in temperature has an affect on the animals habit and life expectancy.


Analysis:     The habitats of animals are decreasing and the animals are not cable of adapting to this change fast enough. This will eventually cause the extinction to many animals, mainly marine creatures. In the Arctic the ice is melting rapidly causing the lost of homes to polar bears. They have adapted to a life on the ice so without it they dont have any transportation to reach their food, this increases drowning, canibalism, lowers survival rate and their population as a whole. I am a polar bear lover and I have always had a dream to own one. Only for a year though because they reach man size in a year, and I don't want to endanger them from learning how to survive in their natural habitat. If all of the polar bears go extinct, then i won't have the opportunity to fulfill my American Dream. I will definitely blame the citizens of America for my troubles. We all need to think wisely on the descisions we make, because we are hurting our animals and this place we all know and love called earth.
